n missed the pre-arranged extraordinarily important NDS night!
totally a SHAME !!!
where to find such strong playmates in HK ?
wasted xico's blood heart to bring 1 more NDSL ...

coz I worked with fire on an urgent project @.@
I missed out the great time to take pic with my colleagues before they left LOL
anyways those in the pics are part of my colleagues
they are all nice n fun
reminded me to take pic n calmed me down :)

new hobby... what is snap... ?

i started taking pics with my sony D3 digital cam
as it's totally free to take picture
I went crazy with it
the nI got my nikon 5400 and pentax optio WP... all are Digital
never really think what to present in the pic
and just focus on what to take in the pic... how to make the pic look good
sometimes I dun even bother concerning that.
will just use DC to record something that I dun wanna miss (but those are functional pic, they got their function n it's out of the scope of my topic here)

a pic without a message... can looks cool but it is empty...

after getting lomo holga and lca ...
I slow down a bit, coz the school fee (film/developing cost) can be costy
but still
I just try to present what in the picture in a better way...

still empty, messageless.

snapshot... may be it's not just to shoot on anything u see without a thought...
but a training to develop a more intutive sense to look for some meanings to anything that appear in front of u, in a quick way...like... look at the world from your point of view...

I guess... I am delivering some sort of messages...
but it is hidden to myself too...

每天返工都走的行人路
每天返工都等的燈
不經不覺已兩年有多了
街上的每一個佈置都已熟透了
酒店的對面是什麼，7-11的傍邊是什麼，OUTBACK在幾櫢
都不用多想了...

不過街上的人卻依然陌生
在這熟悉的街上每天見著不熟悉的人
令沉悶的街上增添不少色彩

想一想，原來我也是為街道塗色的一份子，呵呵...

2nd hand stuff

I never really bought any 2nd hand stuff
especially for camera/electronics... feel like these things are too fragile
and u buy 2nd hand, u just waste $ most probably...
unless it's really cheap...

last time i bought 2nd hand stuff is the mini p3 desktop core
got that for $1000 and I brought that with me to canada for my study...
yeah I was too poor to get a laptop that time

after Gloria got me a holga
I started to get into films camera
It's all fun, though I havent took anything good
well I am a newbie :p
I am interested in Lomo LC-a so I decided to get one

But I wanna get an old LC-a ...
coz I hate the silly logo on the new one
so I bidded one for $1100

finally the parcel came to my office today






It came in good condition, everything seems working fine
I really obey to the Lomo rule - dun think just shot, and killes 36 frames for quick testing of this new member :)
will see the result tomoro.

but that's not what I wanna say
i wanna say... it is a USSR product made in 1989...
a 18 years old camera...

what did it experienced ? too bad all films worked with it were gone ...
I wanna know who was his old master, what stories he went through with them ...

may be 1 of his master is a communist, well most probably
he has a family of 4 in ukarine
working hard for the community
he bought this lc-a out with his family on their family day
took picture of them
but life's hard...
he might have been in crime for any reasons and so this lc-a went to some other people's hand ... what this guy / gal was.. what their stories were...

it's weird that i wanna know such things ...
but it's all about human, all about life, and all about their stories ...

how should i tell the next master of this lc-a my story?
or will he ever care about it ?
at all ?

Hong kong is a really money-oriented place...
whatever not getting profit directly is being eliminated.

shown my mum the 120 films and E to C films
not expecting her to appreciate them
coz she just like normal portrait / nice scene pics

my mum said... u seem like "playing" minority things ... all the time
played single board computer, played toy camera, played accordion, played windsurfing, played kung fu, played making toys... and said i am weird...
i said no. just that HK is a weird place

whatever brings in money directly and quickly will just grow...
and u can hardly access those things which wont bring in money quickly...

I have evidences

fotomax, kodak grow BIG; ordinary skillful photo developers are hiding in stanley street...
super market, 7-11 grow BIG; friendly estate stores are all closing down...
McDonDon, Cafe de Carol grow BIG; stylish Tai Pai Dong are disappearing...
Buying low end electronic product is cheaper than buying the raw materials...
Buying electronics u will see the price tag, but not the specification document...

big coporations, big franchises are taking over HK, and we can only take services from them... they grow bigger, we have less choices... coz they make the choices for us !

they dun sell electronic parts, u can only shop online
they dun sell 120 films, we can only buy 135
they dun develop E to C, we can just be ordinary...

just follow what is offered... we are used to live like this?
OK we can learn how to appreciate from it XDDDD ... DAMN !

Failed pics from LOMO Holga

my sweet girl friend (now = my greedy ex) bought me a Holga for the (fucking) Valentine's day

for the first few roll of film reels, they are all... failed :(
coz the back window isnt sealed up nice enough
I should have used better materials than white card board with things printed on it...
and I should get a better film scanner coz I really want to show 2 side bars of the film...

anyways, here're the failed pics...

a Break through in 2007

I've resigned on 1st March from she.com
had been here for like 2.5 years
time to move on

wanna know how far I can go
wanna know if i can stand on my own as a freelancer

will move to sydney for half a year
yup now I had a good excuseto quit this company
coz it's so nice working here
kinda a laid back place to hide in

age of 27.
it shouldnt be slacking behind i guess
while i still wanna go farther
no one knows how unstable life can be
I can get better or worse
c'est la vie ~

anyhow it's really nice being here XD
